Common Questions
Do I need a credit card to start?
No. The free tier is live now and never asks for card details — make a companion and start talking. You'd only add a card if you later pick Core. Deep checkout is coming after beta.
What counts as a message?
One message is one thing you send. Your companion's reply doesn't count against you, so 30 a day on Free means 30 turns from you — not 15 back-and-forths.
What happens when I hit the free tier limit?
You'll see a friendly prompt to upgrade. Your companion and memories stay — you just can't send new messages until the next day or until you upgrade.
What does the memory window actually mean?
It's how far back your companion can reach when something reminds them of you. Free reaches back 30 days and Core a year; Deep's full-relationship window is coming after beta. Older unpinned memories aren't deleted when they leave the window, and approved pinned memories remain eligible for recall.
What happens to my memories if I downgrade or cancel?
Nothing is deleted. Your companions and memories stay exactly as they are; a shorter window just means your companion reaches back less far. Upgrade again and the older memories return. You can export everything from Settings whenever you want.
Can I switch tiers?
Yes. Core upgrades take effect after checkout, while downgrades take effect at the end of the billing period. Deep checkout is coming after beta. Your memories and companions are never deleted when changing plans.
How do I cancel?
Cancel anytime from Settings > Manage Billing. No cancellation fees, no hoops. Your data stays available for export.
