1. Acceptance of Terms

By using Kaylio, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Description of Service

Kaylio provides AI-powered companion chatbots for conversation and emotional support. Kaylio companions are artificial intelligence programs, not real people. They are not therapists, counselors, or medical professionals. They are not a substitute for professional mental health care.

3. Age Requirements

You must be at least 18 years old to use Kaylio. If you are under 18, you may not create an account or use the service.

4. User Conduct

You agree not to use Kaylio to generate illegal content, harass others, or attempt to extract harmful information. We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these terms.

5. AI Disclosure

All Kaylio companions are AI-generated software. They do not have feelings or consciousness and cannot form a human relationship. Interactions with Kaylio should not replace human relationships or professional support. This description is not a claim of compliance with any specific law.

6. Crisis and Safety

Kaylio includes automated crisis-signal detection, which can miss a crisis or flag a non-crisis message. When triggered, Kaylio displays a fixed safety response and support resources. Kaylio is not emergency, medical, or therapeutic care. If you are in immediate danger, contact local emergency services; in the US or Canada, call or text 988.

7. Subscriptions and Billing

When paid checkout is enabled, sellable subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe at the price and terms shown before checkout. Core is the initial paid plan; Deep is not currently available for purchase. Image generation, text-to-speech, and realtime voice are not included in the initial paid product.

You may cancel through the Stripe billing portal. Cancellation normally takes effect under the timing displayed by Stripe and does not delete your companions, messages, or memories. Refund requests are reviewed individually subject to applicable law; cancellation alone does not promise a refund.

8. Limitation of Liability

Kaylio is provided "as is" without warranties. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the service, including emotional distress or reliance on AI-generated content.
