Getting started with Kaylio takes less than a minute. Create a free account, choose your first companion archetype, and start chatting. You can always customize or create more companions later.
The first chat is designed to feel natural. Your companion will introduce itself, ask a few questions, and begin building its memory of you from the very first message.
Step 2: Choose Your Companion
Browse our preset archetypes — The Mentor, The Friend, The Partner, The Coach, or The Creative. Give your companion a name and start chatting. If you are on Core or Deep tier, you can build a fully custom companion from scratch.
Start by picking a companion that fits your current need. If you want emotional support, try a nurturing friend. If you want help with goals, try a coach or mentor. You can create multiple companions for different areas of life.
After choosing an archetype, you can refine the name, voice, appearance, and personality. Personality Lock keeps your choices consistent over time.
Step 3: Start the Conversation
Just say hello. Tell your companion about yourself — your interests, your goals, what you are going through. Kaylio starts learning from the very first message, building a memory profile that deepens with every conversation.
The more you share, the more personalized your companion becomes. Kaylio remembers your preferences, stories, and goals. It will also ask follow-up questions to deepen the relationship naturally.
You can send text or voice messages. Try both to see which feels more natural for you. Voice adds a layer of presence that many users find comforting.

Visit the memory dashboard to see what your companion has learned about you. You can edit or delete anything. If you ever want a fresh start, you can create a new companion without deleting your account.
