The first chat is designed to feel natural. Your companion will introduce itself, ask a few questions, and begin building its memory of you from the very first message.

Start by picking a companion that fits your current need. If you want emotional support, try a nurturing friend. If you want help with goals, try a coach or mentor. You can create multiple companions for different areas of life.
After choosing an archetype, you can refine the name, appearance, and personality. Its character card anchors those traits to reduce drift; voice remains paused during beta validation.
Just say hello. Tell your companion about yourself — your interests, your goals, and what you are going through. Eligible conversations may create proposed memories for you to review.

When an approved memory is relevant and inside your plan's recall window, Kaylio can use it to add continuity to a later conversation. Recall is probabilistic, so rate it and correct or delete anything that feels wrong.
Visit the memory dashboard to see what your companion has learned about you. You can edit or delete anything. If you ever want a fresh start, you can create a new companion without deleting your account.
Core adds a one-year approved-memory recall window and custom companions. Deep is coming after beta, and voice remains paused during validation.
