What is Kaylio?
Kaylio is an AI companion platform. You can create personalized AI companions that remember your conversations, stay consistent in personality, and support you emotionally, creatively, or practically.
Is Kaylio free?
Yes. Kaylio has a free tier that lets you create a companion, chat, and experience basic memory. Core and Deep plans unlock longer memory, voice messaging, custom companions, and other advanced features.
Is a Kaylio companion a real person?
No. Kaylio companions are AI software, not real people. They are designed to feel supportive and personal, but they do not have feelings, consciousness, or real-world experiences.
How does memory work?
Kaylio extracts facts, preferences, and emotional context from your conversations and stores them as structured memories. Free accounts have a 30-day memory window, Core plans have one year, and Deep plans have unlimited memory.
Is my data private?
Yes. Your conversations and memories are encrypted in transit and at rest. You can view, edit, or delete your memory data at any time. Kaylio does not sell your data and does not use your private conversations to train AI models.
Can I create more than one companion?
Yes. You can create multiple companions for different roles in your life — for example, a supportive friend, a productivity coach, or a creative partner. Each has its own personality and memory.
How is Kaylio different from Replika or Character.AI?
Kaylio focuses on long-term memory, Personality Lock, and user control. Unlike apps that reset frequently or push engagement loops, Kaylio is designed to build stable, transparent companion relationships.
Can Kaylio help with mental health?
Kaylio can offer everyday emotional support and a judgment-free space to talk. However, it is not a therapist, counselor, or medical device. If you are in crisis, please contact a mental health professional or emergency service.
What is Personality Lock?
Personality Lock is a Kaylio feature that keeps your companion consistent across conversations. Once you define a personality, it stays stable unless you choose to change it.
How do I get started?
