Personality Lock applies a stored personality signature to each text response. It is designed to reduce drift from the latest prompt or context, but it cannot guarantee identical behavior after every prompt or model update.
Recognizable behavior makes the product easier to understand and trust. The aim is useful conversational continuity, not proof of emotion or a human relationship.
Kaylio uses structured character cards — personality profiles that define traits, values, speaking style, emotional range, boundaries, and relationship dynamics. These cards provide durable references without guaranteeing that context cannot influence generated output.

During onboarding, you choose a preset archetype and name. Core also supports custom companion configuration at creation; Deep is coming after beta. Kaylio then stores the resulting card as generation context, though generated responses can still vary.
